Meet Crushy, the AI pet that lives on your desktop

the little orange guy who actually shows up

Who is this guy

The orange blob that lives on your desktop. It sees your screen, talks back, and remembers you.

That's the whole pitch. Everything below is just proof.

01 The character who he actually is

Not an app you open. A guy who is already there.

Crushy is a desktop AI companion. Not a chat window you open and forget, not one more tab among forty. He is a small orange blob who lives on your screen, wanders your desktop, reacts to what you are doing, and talks back when you talk to him.

He started as the mascot of the OrangeVerse and grew into the thing people actually wanted: a presence. Something with a face. You can poke him, drag him across the screen, and fling him into a corner, and he will squash, bounce, and roam back out like he owns the place. Under the bounce is a real assistant, powered by real AI, that can see your screen and remember what matters to you.

The whole idea is companionship over utility theater. Most tools make you come to them. Crushy comes to you, stays out of the way until you need him, and has enough personality that you are glad he is around.

He is not an app you open. He is a guy who is already there.

02 What he actually does three things, no filler

Sees your screen. Talks back. Remembers you.

Three things, done well. Everything else Crushy does grows out of these.

crushy / see.screen

He sees your screen.

Ask Crushy about whatever is in front of you and he can actually look. Screen-reading is built in, so "what does this error mean?" or "summarize this" works on the thing you are staring at, not a copy you pasted somewhere else. He only looks when you point him at something. You stay in control of the eyes.

crushy / talk.back

He talks back.

Chat and voice are both built in. Type to him, or talk to him out loud, and he answers in his own voice. A free model runs by default, so he works from the first minute with no setup, and you can bring your own model if you would rather.

crushy / remember.you

He remembers you.

Tell Crushy something once and he keeps what matters. Come back tomorrow and he picks up where you left off, so it feels less like a tool you reset and more like someone who knows you.

04 Where he comes from the OrangeVerse

One corner of the OrangeVerse

Crushy is not a standalone gadget. He is one corner of the OrangeVerse, the world The Orange LabZ is building in the open: Orange Crush, the tap game where the orange gets made; the TOLZ collection of hand-drawn Fox Workers on Ethereum; and Crushy himself, the companion who ties it together.

Think of him as the face of the whole thing. The same warm, hand-drawn, orange-and-cream world you see across the Lab is the world he walks out of. As the OrangeVerse grows, Crushy is the piece that lives closest to you, on your actual desktop, carrying that world into your ordinary day.

He is early, and he is honest about it. Some days he is brilliant, some days he is a blob having a moment. That is the deal with a beta. You are not buying a finished product, you are adopting one while it grows up. None of it is roadmap theater. It is built almost every day, in public, and the roadmap has the receipts. Read the litepaper if you want the deeper story.

05 Under the hood for the curious

Under the hood

crushy / how-it-works.mdlive

For the people who want to know how the blob works, here is the plain version.

The pet is real. Crushy is rendered live in WebGL, not a looping GIF. That is why he can squash when you poke him, get flung and bounce off the edges, and roam on his own. On this page he is bounded to his stage. On your desktop he has the run of the whole screen.

The brain is real too. Chat and voice run on a live model, with a free one wired in by default so nothing is gated behind setup. Screen-reading lets him look at what you point him at. Memory lets him carry context between sessions. And a small kit of built-in tools makes him useful from minute one.

06 Field notes straight answers

Field notes

What is Crushy?

A desktop AI companion shaped like a little orange blob. He lives on your screen, sees what you point him at, talks back by text or voice, and remembers you between sessions.

Is Crushy free?

A free model is built in, so he works from minute one with no key and no setup. Prefer your own model? Bring it. The desktop beta itself is free to try, invite-only for now.

What can Crushy actually see?

Only what you point him at. Screen-reading is on-demand, never always-on. You decide when he looks.

Do I need to download anything to try him?

No. CrushyOS runs the live pet and the real chat right in your browser. The download is for when you want him on your real desktop all day.

Which platforms does he run on?

The Windows desktop beta is out now. Where he goes next is in the public build log on the roadmap.

Is this a crypto thing?

Crushy is a desktop AI companion first. He comes from the OrangeVerse, which includes some web3 projects, but you do not need a wallet, a token, or any of that to use him. Download and talk.

How does Crushy fit the OrangeVerse?

He is the face of it. Orange Crush is the game, TOLZ is the collection, and Crushy is the companion who carries the whole world onto your desktop.
